Ulf Norinder

b Bollnas (Sweden), May 19, 1934 – d Monte Carlo (Monaco), December 14, 1978

Swedish racer who took over 718-201 at the 1961 Kanonloppet. The Swede mostly featured in sportscar racing, entering Ferraris, Lolas and Porsches and sharing with the likes of Joakim Bonnier, Picko Troberg and Robin Widdows, but was a Formula Junior driver when he jumped into Carel’s Porsche at Karlskoga. Into the seventies Norinder moved to British F5000 with a McLaren-Chevy M18.

After attracting cancer he chose to end his own life.
