Jan Bootz

One-time team mate for the 1960 Sebring 12 Hrs, Bootz helped Carel to a second-place finish in the GT 1600 class with their 356A, powered by a swapped 1587cc Fuhrmann engine. For as far as we know, this was Jan Bootz' one and only foreign race. He raced in Holland with a DKW on both Zandvoort and Assen. For one of his races at Zandvoort he become known to insiders for his quick laptimes in bad weather, which resulted in a class win, despite a very long pitstop. Other than that, there's nearly no information about Jan Bootz racing career or private live.
